mjollnyr added a new comment on Helene's video.Ramp were great band in the early ninetees... I mean they were not original but they made very good thrash albums... The one called "intersection" is one of my favorite thash albums.. They sound like machine head, fear factory and pantera.... you must check songs like: Black Tie, All Men Taste Hell, Hallelluyah....
Alone I think is from their previous to last album which really sucks...
They have a very good ballad in their first mini album by the way: "the last child"...
Don't get me wrong, they are stil very powerful live....
Yep, I know what you mean...Usually I like the bands first albums.... That's when they have to put some effort to it to become famous... Once they become famous and have lots of fans, any crap they record will sell....

Hi, the Moonspell video is very nice and evocative. It seems that Ramp had a lot of energy and could do a great show in the past. Is the song "Alone" one of their new, "commercial" stuff? It sounds like any other power-ballad song that bands write just to make money. It´s a shame when great bands give up creating original songs with nerve and energy. Or just can´t produce any more original ideas. It happens too often that great bands peak and after that all the albums sound just the same.
I haven´t seen the movie "Queen of the Dammed", but it looks like the Moonspell video contains scenes from it. Actually, the ony vampie film I have seen are Dracula (the one with Gary Oldman) and Nosferatu. But the last one is a classic...
Maybe any crap record will sell, but I´m not buying it. Some of the bands that I like the most, are making shit albums now, or at best they sound all the same. Like, I have a lot of respect for what Kiss did in the 70ies, but they should have split up when they ran out of original ideas instead of keep going just for the money. Making great shows is one thing, but bands should be into it for the music.
Hmm Mezz, never heard of it..but they played Morbid Angel?really?well that's a good start!I live near the "border"(if you believe that exists
), terrible place...rampant with Zombies

R u living in Denmark? I thought you were Danish but living in Ireland...
Have you ever heard about the terrorist movement in Spain called ETA?
They want the bask country to be independent...
Every now and then a few bombs go off.....
Also Catalunya (which Capital is Barcelona) wants to be independent as well...
In fact Portugal now is independent thanks to them...but that's a long story....
Also in Galicia there is a growing movement calling for independence as well....
Spain is like this... the wealthiest regions are tired of being drained by the imperialist Madrid...
Yes, I am danish and I live in Copenhagen, as my profile says. But I signed up on this page because it´s for metalheads
. And I don´t trust Fasebook and Myspace because of something that happened about two years ago when some person stole my identity to create a false profile.
I knew about the bombings, since that´s what the newpapers tell about when it takes place. the situation in Spain sounds complicated. Much of the details about why groups like ETA is oprerating is mostly ignored by the media here. It´s like, if you want to know what happens in conflicts around the world, you would have to go find information on your own. The media here tend to focus a lot more in internal issues in Denmark, which is not so strange since people want to know what goes on in their own country
. I think that´s allright, but one must also seek abroad...
By the way, does Portugal have a good scene for metalbands?
Thanks for suggestions!
...Yeah, I knew they were from Portugal alright
,Wolfheart is one of my favourite albums ever...um, they are only really the two metal places I know of in Dublin myself, I'm from the countryside
haha
Hello there!nice to see another 30-something on this!
I see Moonspell, Disillusion and OF COURSE Type O there.......niiiiiiiiice
Yes, the Vikings were the 1st europeans that got into America, not Columbus... There are proofs that they got there in the XII century... History is badly written.... Like a few years ago in the coast of Australia it was found an egypcian boat that dates back from the times of the pharaos... As someone once said: History is re-written by the winners... (on wars)....
Yep, that picture is my favourite Celtic ruin close to my home town in Porto (Portugal)...
Yes! Even there, there are Celtic remains and it is even more visible the Celtic influence on the NW of Spain in a province called Galicia (which is kinda similar to Gaelic)
In Portugal you only found those in the North of the country and we also have bagpipes and some ancient settlers wear a kilt as well (long time ago before the wind and before the snow
)
In the south they have muslym heritage and we hate their guts.....
May be in some future we can separate from those moorish guys and join our brothers in Galicia
(I think it is just a matter of time until Spain spilts up)
Yes, "History is written by those who hung heros.." (quote "Braveheart!) And historicans will continue to argue over important historic events. But it must be very difficult to separate facts from myths to find out how things really happened.
I didn´t know that situation was so tense in Spain...
The media in Denmark only tells when terrible things happen, and we´re usually not told much about the details. But when some celebrity comes along, they go crazy. (Recently it was Oprah and president Obama). I don´t have anything aganist these people, but it takes away focus from other things that are more important.
